This pet wall bed is so amazing! All our kitties love it! They play in n it, nap on it. Our youngest kitty can get up to it and away from our older kitties so he feels much more comfortable and confident. It has done wonders with our kitty harmony. We actually bought two more!

Marvelous! Sturdy construction, easy to mount, delightful design, and much loved by my cats. Ditto for the matching squiggle stairstep. The seller was responsive, helpful, and prompt, and included hardware and patterns for attaching the pieces to the wall. Highly recommended!

I'm putting up a bunch of different shelves and beds on the walls for my three cats and, out of everything I have up, this is easily my favorite piece. The installation was very quick and easy, the bed feels very sturdy and secure on the wall, and Jayne was kind enough to send me several samples of fabrics so I could decide which pattern I liked most before I placed my order. The bed is big enough for the cats to lay down comfortably and even roll around on it with their catnip pillows, we all love it! Thanks again, Jayne!

I was a childhood cat lady who wanted to be a Barbie designer. After design school in Los Angeles in the early 2000s, my advisor looked at my Barbie designs and was like, why?! They weren’t great. But when I showed her my offbeat cat bed prototype, she lit up and got interested, like I was onto something. It was right before cats took over the internet/world, so I got in on the ground floor of that enterprise.

I’m also a wannabe sculptor and former modern dancer, so playing with shapes is something my imagination is always doing. My little furniture niche is the unexpected use of shapes. And materials. I’ve sewn since age 9, learning from my home economics teacher mom. With my lifelong collection of vintage fabric, most pieces are big enough for just a few cat beds, so I get to work with a rich variety of colors and textures. It’s nice to stay small and not have to “scale up” my business.

My current bauhaus bed mimics the look of a human lounge chair. Its shape reminds me of Le Corbusier’s chaise. Yet it supports a range of cat positions. There’s a convex curve in the middle of the bed where most cat beds are concave, but it works, acting as a sort of belly rest.

The memphis squiggle step takes a purely decorative shape and makes it actually functional. I’m really proud of that. Rounded curvy stairsteps would be all wrong for humans, but actually work for a cat’s feet and body.

Etsy customers are the kindest and most pleasant. The culture of craft permeates every interaction, and it’s mutually respectful and caring and curious. Etsy people feel safe and warm. I think a lot of it has to do with the predominance of women and the values that were built into Etsy from the beginning. Heart and emotion and the senses are an innate part of Etsy. Like, it smells good in this place, and the lighting and music are always nice.
